Take Vista and stick it. I’ll stick with XP

June 25th, 2008 · No Comments

Networking 7 new laptops at Jo’s work, 6 have the Home Basic and one with Premium. The premium wouldn’t see the router, the network, any of the other computers, printers etc. I fought with finding the tools that are easy to find in XP only to eventually “hard write” the addresses of the shared components. A pain in the ass. The Home Basic PCs hooked up with no issues. [Read more →]

If only I could afford to do this more often!

June 22nd, 2008 · No Comments

On June 14th a group of friends and forum members went to Thunderhill Park in Willows California for a day of riding on the track. There’s almost nothing better than riding at speed on the track on your motorcycle. Still being fairly fast, it’s a thrill running around and away from newer faster bikes. [Read more →]

Lots of side work, not a lot of hours :(

June 21st, 2008 · No Comments

Well, I’ve been working with Rohnert Park Public Safety Officer’s Association for their website. Once the templates had been built, it was then a waiting game for the content. Since there’s two officers that I work with, they’re too busy to devote big blocks of time, so I’m at their whim for work. Take a look at the work in progress at www.RPPSOA.com and you hopefully will start to see updated information. They have

Latest fun for a friend

December 30th, 2007 · No Comments

A friend asked if I could help try and get his business moving more by building a website. Of coarse, I’m all over that one since it’s so much fun, plus it keeps me on top of some things. It’s nearly completed as of today and it’ll soon be submitted to various other sites to help drum up clients. (Take a peak at www.MarinCarService.com) …

Well, things are looking up!

October 12th, 2007 · 3 Comments

After 10 months of working 71+ hours a week, with a bit of help, I’ve come up with a plan to get a bit back to normality.

Latest goings on

July 14th, 2007 · No Comments

A little rambling for anyone who’s bored enough to be interested.

Still doing the 71+ hours a week with two jobs. Everyday I’m trying to find a way to get rid of the grocery store job. It’s turning into a hypocritical back stabbing environment that I can not work with. Unfortunately, I, we, are stuck with it as we’re in need of the benefits that it has. With Jo’s thyroid medication and Tyler’s kidney issues, we can not afford the benefits from Blakeslee which offers Blue Shield.

Argh! I knew we should’ve removed it!

June 14th, 2007 · No Comments

When we bought this house, we wanted the pool removed because of Tyler and the lack of knowledge of taking care of a pool. Well, it didn’t happen and thankfully, up until recently, I’ve had pretty good luck with it. Vacuum it, skim it, and when it turns green, shock the shit out of it :P

This year the algae was just coming back fast and furious no matter how much chlorine I used. So…
I decided it was time to look into other tests and adjusting the chemical balance of the pool to get it where it should be. I spent over two weeks trying to make sure I got it right. However, even after that, the algae continued to remain and I had to do something else. [Read more →]

Where did the time go?

January 18th, 2007 · No Comments

Starting the second of January this year, I’ve started working a second job. This brought about by the necessity to pay the ever increasing mortgage payments and costs of living. That doesn’t leave much time at all for [Read more →]

I’m through. Enough is enough

January 9th, 2007 · No Comments

I’ve run Norton Anti-virus ever since my first computer. It was a name I recognized and it worked well. Ok, I think it did. Really when you think of it, it’s like when you pay $4.95 for the cheesy plastic thing that you mount to your bumper or fender that supposedly, when you drive fast enough to push air through it, emits a high frequency sound that scares off deer. If you think about it, how can you tell if it really works?

Well, I haven’t had any problems as far as virus’ go, but this last upgrade/subscription renewal is the last straw. [Read more →]

What a day

December 20th, 2006 · 1 Comment

Some of you may remember on another post that I mentioned Jo almost brought home a kitten. The Sonoma HS has been setting up in front of her job in Coddingtown mall and it’s been torture for her. I told her, just think it through first.

Today I had to get out of the house, so I packed up AJ and headed there to browse around and see if I can find a little stocking stuffer for her. [Read more →]
