Here we are, current year

I whipped this entire site out in some kind of record time, so I apologize for any confusion.

Last week, we (Lee, Joann, and I) started from scratch, sketching out the layout over breakfast, of which Lee paid for, and then coming home to start putting up the walls. After the outside walls were all but completed, we were pleasantly surprised at the accuracy of our measurements. Hopefully the picture will really be worth those 1000 words you've always heard so much about.

Yesterday, Lee and I squared up the rooms (sort of) and relocated the supports into positions to support the roof. On top of that, we put a tarp on incase it rains again. Pictures are probably going to be far and few between until the 1st as we don't want to give up any surprises inside. I will say that our friend's Scott and Jenny came over, and their paintings, along with Joann's, are great! Hopefully you'll all enjoy them.

Of coarse, I forgot to take the "very first" picture.
A bit more up
And the first couple of walls go up.

Hwre's another angle.

The walls that you see lying down on their sides are currently acting as supports for the coming storm.

Still growing....

And going....

The outer walls are actually going to be finished today....go firgure.

Another view

The back wall gets put up. (Entrance side)

I said I wouldn't do it, but I secured it to the house anyways.

From the Exit side.

From the inside looking towards the back.

Jo helped me get the middle wall up and secured.

Hmmm, wonder what meter is now not accessable?

Other side of the middle wall.

Here we started measuring and locating the final spots for the roof supports.

Once they were all in place....

...we were ready to lay down the roof.

We had just enough wood for the roof.

Only two "not so good" pieces left over.

I decided on a small "hallway" to help keep the inside dark. Worked great!

With the tarp on the roof (not visible here) we are rain proof, I hope. Everyone started on the painting.

Jennifer paints a brick wall over the door to the last room.

A familiar face from previous years.

A photographer, I'm not. Here's the outside at night.

The graveyard is almost finished.

The other end.

A few more things added.

Scott's scary pumpkin. The art work is always a highlight.

An encore of the Halloween dancers.

The hallway of faces.

The other side.

The graveyard the day after.

Funny, no one rose from the dead. (Though, someone broke one of our props)

The scenery behind the graveyard.

And the far end.
